Hey friend! To start off
Miraculous Bugaboo with a bang we decided to go all out to produce something unique and, well, miraculous! *
And what's better than food?
Not to mention Miraculous Ladybug inspired food! For this recipe we went with something we have long loved and decided to change it up a bit. With a touch of red gel food coloring and a few well placed chocolate chips, we created something we're very excited to share.
Here it is.
* More puns like these are soon to come.
Ladybug's Edible (Egg-less) Cookie Dough
Please note that there is a small risk of getting sick from eating raw flour. Consume at your own risk.
What you'll need:
- 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cups packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Red gel food coloring
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips (Ghirardelli is our fave)
How to make it:
- Mix together butter and brown sugar (we did this with a spatula, but a mixer would be a lot easier).
- Add in vanilla and salt, mix.
- Add in flour a little bit at a time. The mixture should be crumbly.
- Add in milk and mix. It should look more like cookie dough now.
- Now to make it Ladybug style! Add in red gel food coloring a little bit at a time. We started out by folding it in with a spatula, but switched to kneading it with our hands (with gloves on to avoid staining). The color will start out pink, so add color until you get the desired red color. OR, skip this step altogether.
- Fold in your chocolate chips and you're ready to enjoy!
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Freeze for up to three months.
